A classic Fleur de Lys railhead sits atop the round vertical bars. Some of the verticals are finished off with decorative triple bushes. Please note that these Fleur de Lys railheads are gently pointed and do not have a safety top (small ball). If you require a safety top (small ball on top of the railhead) please see GRD 1 in our Select Range.
Comes in a matte black painted finish as standard. Also available with hot dip galvanized and/or powder coated finishes at extra cost, please select your preferred finishes prior to checkout.
This product matches our Windsor Double Gates and our Windsor Single Gate.
All sizes quoted are gap sizes not actual ironwork sizes so please measure from brick to brick and we will calculate all allowances for brackets, hinges, clearances etc. before we make your railing. Please see How to Measure Accurately for further advice before placing your order. If you cannot see the size you need please contact us with the dimensions you require and we will prepare a quote for you. We make bespoke sizes without the high price tag so often associated with made to measure products. For example if you require railing at 550mm high x 914mm wide we would only charge you for 610mm high x 914mm wide (the next size up in our price band).

If you require railing posts please click here to order.
Our railing posts are 50mm square hollow section (SHS) flat topped steel as standard. If you prefer a more seamless look to your railings, we also make narrower posts from 30mm SHS which can be topped with a railhead to match your railings. Please ask us about narrower posts and we will provide an itemised quote.

Finishes
Matte Black Painted Finish – Standard Finish
This is a good quality spray painted primer designed to act as a base coat for finishing by the customer with paint suitable for exterior metal surfaces. Please note that this primer alone is not weatherproof and will need to be painted before attaching any fixings or placing outdoors. If you require a maintenance free finish we would recommend hot dip galvanizing and powder coating. Unless your ironworks are galvanized rust will begin to show through over time. This is not a fault but is a natural trait of steel.
Hot Dip Galvanizing
This is a protective coating that is carried out to British Standard BS EN ISO 1461. It provides rustproof protection for 50+ years. Please note that hot dip galvanized products have a bright silver/grey appearance that, if left unpainted, will weather over time. Our galvanized products may have a slightly uneven colour and texture due to the fine finishing we carry out by hand which we call linishing. We do this to smooth out small burrs or shards of zinc that naturally occur during the galvanizing process. This does not diminish the protective properties provided by the galvanizing. Please bear this in mind if you order galvanized only products that you are not going to paint.
If you would like a black finish you can either coat them with paint suitable for exterior metal surfaces or choose powder coating prior to checkout. Other colours of powder coating are available on request, please email us with your requirements. Our top specification finish is hot dip galvanized and powder coated which provides an extremely durable and maintenance free finish.
Powder Coating
Provides a much harder finish than conventional paint. Our powder coating is applied to an average thickness of 80 microns, exceeds the industry standard of 60 microns and complies with British Standards BS EN ISO 13438. Comes in a high quality black satin finish giving a lustrous sheen. Other colours of powder coating are available on request, please email us with your requirements.
Unless your ironworks are galvanized first rust will begin to show through over time though this may not happen for several years depending on the surrounding environment. This is not a fault but is a natural trait of steel and any rust spots that appear on powder coated goods can be sanded down and touched up with paint suitable for exterior metal surfaces.
